MII Engineering is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Pencoed ABGC .

We have agreed to become the exclusive sponsor of the club’s new Under 19s Women’s squad which will start its journey throughout the spring of 2021 in readiness for the 21/22 season.

Club Chairman, Lyn Williams, hailed the partnership as groundbreaking for the development of female football in the town and the wider region, “These are tremendously exciting times for our club.  The investment from MII will enable us to provide an enhanced environment for our highly established and successful female players that will allow us to compete with the very best in South Wales.

The U19s Women’s Squad will be based at Bridgend College with our twice weekly training programme starting after the Easter break.  The facilities available to this squad will be exceptional and we look forward to developing our relationship with the College to provide an experience for our players that will put their development at the heart of what we want to achieve with this group over the next 3 years and beyond as they progress to senior football.”

Brian Arnesen, the Managing Director of MII Engineering Ltd, underlined the enormous potential of the new partnership, “The ambition driving this programme to develop the U19s Women’s Squad at Pencoed is very exciting and our company is naturally drawn to dynamic projects.  I’m excited by the potential of what this squad can achieve and the excellent relationship with the College is a unique dimension that will ensure that the players will have all the assets and infrastructure that they need to grow and compete as a squad.  We have supported female football at the club in recent years but the vision underpinning the 19s will take the female pathway at the club to a new level.”

The ambition is to enter to 19s squad into the Welsh Women’s U19s Development League for the 21/22 season.  Through the support of MII Engineering Ltd, the squad will utilise the outstanding 3G facilities of Bridgend College and will benefit from an outstanding coaching programme which will focus on the individual and the team. All squad players will be furnished with complimentary training and matchday teamwear.

The establishment of the 19s squad will be the next chapter in the success story of the female football pathway at Pencoed ABGC.  Head of Girls Football at the club, Scott Evans, is excited about the journey ahead, “We have a long track record of developing exceptionally talented female footballers; many of whom have played at international and county level.  Our current U16s squad has achieved remarkable success during their time in junior football, but now is the time to take the next step into youth football with this group and the door is very much open to ambitious female footballers who would like to join our journey. We also have a brilliant U15s squad who will provide the next generation and we are now focusing on the younger age groups so please do get in touch if you have a football mad daughter.”
